Question by quikweel: What is the value of a 1935 silver certificate, A series, one dollar bill?
The bill is in good shape and has a blue seal. The seial # is C32763291C. There is also a string of characters "I3974" on the portrait side. There are no stains on the bill.

I got a silver certificate today. It's circulated but in very good condition. Does anybody know if this is worth anything?

For starters it has a "face" value of because it is still legal tender of the United States. In other words you can use it to buy stuff.

What would a collector pay for it? ....anywhere from to .
That depends on the condition, the rarity of this edition, etc.etc.

Compare your silver certificate to others offered on E-bay.

Unless there is a star at the beginning of the serial number, it might bring you a couple of dollars at the most from a dealer. If there is a star in the serial number, it was a "replacement note" for one that was damaged in printing. That might net you an extra dollar or so.

Series 1935D notes were printed in such large quantities that there isn't much of a premium for them. Just as an FYI, because of the way notes are dated, yours was printed sometime between 1949 and 1953, despite the date on the note.

Question by T-Funk: I have a 1935 E series silver certificate dollar bill, that doesNOT say IN GOD WE TRUST. How much is it worth?
I received it along with another bill from my great grandmother many years ago. I would love to know it's value as well as where you found said information. Thanks.

One dollar unless it is in perfect uncirculated condition. Maybe .25 if it has only one or two folds.
