What Is the Value of a 1935-a Silver Certificate (Hawaii)?

Well I have a 1935-A Silver Certificate that says Hawaii on it. It is in good condition and has some writing on it that says "From: Hughie, To: His darling Doris" dated "5 Dec. 1944". Its not in perfect condition but you can see everything clearly with a few bents. How much is tis worth? How can i find out?

In uncirculated condition about 0.00. In the condition you're describing, figure around -75. I use the figures at USA Currency Auctions, (see citation) and assuming they're somewhat dated, multiply by about two to get the true value.

You have a note that means some thing to WW II collectors, due to the message on it. To others it damages the note, but not to these collectors. In grade fine it sells for $35.00 dollars, a dealer would give you at least 40% less.. I clicked on your link, but it said sorry and no picture, so I don’t know if it grades fine or not. If you put it on an auction like Yahoo’s or EBay you might find a WW II collector who will pay more for it.
